Felicia Teo
Soprano Felicia Teo Kaixin is a distinguished artist with a voice of very distinctive colour. Her current season engagement includes the role of Infanta “Der Zwerg” by Zemlimsky and Tisbe “La Cenerentolla” by Rossini.
Felicia has won top prizes in the Trinity Vocal Competition and collaborated with artists and coaches including Mignon Dunn, Lim Shieh Yih, Nancy Yuen, Chun Wei-Kang, Glenn Morton, Kenneth Merill, Cristina Stanescu, and Dr. Kathryn LaBouff. She is a recipient of the 2018 Richard Wagner Stiependien.
She received her Master’s degree at Manhattan School of Music and her Bachelor’s degree in Music from the University of Wales (Singapore).

In 2018, engagements include the lead role of Aminta in Mozart’s “IL Re Pastore” with The Opera People, Fiordiligi in Mozart’s “Cosi Fan Tutte”, presented at the Esplanade by Opera Lab,as well as the Soprano soloist in Dvorak’s “Stabat Mater” by Braddell Heights Symphony Orchestra.
In 2017, Felicia made her Singapore Lyric Opera debut in the lead role of Adina in their production of Donizetti’s “L’elisir d’amore’. She also appeared as a soloist in Durufle’s “Requiem” as part of “A Tapestry of Sacred Music” at the Esplanade Concert Hall and was a soloist in Pergolesi’s “Stabat Mater” with New Opera Singapore.
In 2016, Felicia had the opportunity to connect to her Nyonya roots when she sang the role of Tuan Neo in Dick Lee’s “Nyonya Journey” with the Singapore Chinese Orchestra, under the baton of Yeh Tsung. She sang Euridice in New Opera Singapore’s production of Offenbach’s “Orpheus in the Underworld” as well as the title role in Donizetti’s “Rita”, where her comic skills were applauded as “remarkable” (The Straits Times).
Prior to her return to Singapore from the United States in 2015, she made her debut with New York City Opera as Suor Dolcina in Puccini’s “Suor Angelica”. Felicia was also featured in the Tzu Chi Foundation’s televised gala concert at the Golden Center at Queens College (NYC) and Tilles Center (Long Island University). She has also performed as a soloist with International Vocal Art Institute, Bedford Hills Presbyterian Church and The First Baptist Church in Flushing.
